Holly Farkas

My name is Holly Farkas, I’m a San Francisco native, and am in my second year at NYU. For lack of better words, I’ve always described myself as someone very academically interested, but not so academically talented. I’ve always had to work a bit harder in class but outside of the classroom I’ve started discovering a very creative side to the way I think. I want to contribute some small piece of beauty to the world, in what form I have no idea. But I’ve been learning it’s not about being excellent at one thing or knowing exactly what you want to do, but rather craving knowledge and being eager to discover new things and make plenty of mistakes while doing it. I am currently pursuing creative writing and poetry as a Global Liberal Studies Major with a concentration in Contemporary Cultures and Creative Production, as well as a double minor in creative writing and art history.
