My
name is Adam Zhujiang, and I am currently studying Media, Culture, and
Communications at New York University. My hometown is a small and cozy
suburb in Southern California called Redlands. Whenever people ask me
why I decided to pack my life away in a few suitcases and move to New
York, my response would be "Because I’m not going to like it there." And
to be frank, I didn’t. Well, initially at least. I have only ever grown
up in the suburbs, and city life seemed overwhelming. But, over time,
with every slice of pizza, every concert, every sporting event, and
every new friend I made, New York has slowly become my home. I came to
New York because I knew obstacles were inevitable and I wanted to
challenge myself to excel in this unfamiliar environment. Ultimately,
stepping out of my comfort zone is something that I am very happy and
very comfortable, with doing.
However, when I’m not busy challenging myself, I am a passionate fantasy football team manager who studied abroad in Argentina. I also enjoy ethnic food that I cannot pronounce
